2. Awareness
What is Heightened Awareness?
Awareness is simply the degree of being aware of everything that influences our sphere; what we see, hear, touch, smell, and taste. Heightened Awareness is the product of developing these senses to a much higher level.
Developing Heightened Awareness
Developing heightened awareness is consciously expanding all of our basic five senses to a higher level. As we become more aware, we begin seeing that we have other senses. Experiencing the process of heightening our awareness gives us clues as to how we can develop these other senses.
Some Basic Examples
Automatically keeping track of the amount of gas in a car with a broken gas gauge.
Not that you will ever need to do this, but your mind has this capability. It can even tell you how much gas your tank will need to fill it. Experiencing these kinds of mental demonstrations will give you an idea of the possibilities of a human mind.
Subconsciously tallying the amount of purchases, most notably, groceries.
Another simple thing for your subconscious mind. It can do it to the penny.
Keeping track of bank balances in ones head.
Same thing. What happens, though, is that we tend to find it unnecessary and boring. Unless someone is living on their last dollar, rounding the amounts off to the nearest 10 or 100 is adequate. There is no sense in wasting brain cells on trivial, unnecessary bits of information.
Finding "misplaced items."
Think of things as being misplaced, not lost, because if we are the one that last had the item, our mind knows where it is. It is simply a matter of recall. There are methods of increasing our ability to recall. They will be touched on in various places in this book.
Inventing new products.
Actually inventing products is not for everyone, but coming up with unique ideas will become commonplace as you raise your awareness.
Controlling our involuntary mechanisms: Breathing, heartbeat, body temperature, blood pressure, etc.
We've known for 100's of years that some people have learned how to stop their heart and hold their breath for long periods of time. More recently we know that some can control their blood pressure and adjust their body temperature. We can all learn how to do these things. Is it worth the effort to learn how?
How helpless one must feel if in a tragic accident and having a major arterial injury and watching their own heart squirt their blood out onto the ground. Is the chance of this happening enough reason to learn how to stop your heart, or have it beat very slowly? Maybe if it's really easy to learn, you say.
We'll keep it simple. What you have to learn is that you don't take control of these things. Your mind gives you control when you earn its trust. Who's the boss? That's not the question. Of these four functions, only breathing need be occasionally controlled by our conscious mind. How else could we blow up a balloon? The others, till now, have taken care of themselves with absolutely no mental input.
During some heart attacks your heart will frantically try to work a starving area of its muscles and kill itself instead of doing the smart thing and slow down so that it needs less blood flow to survive. It is totally mindless. So trying to take control is a fight that you won't win. Physically what you are going to do is have your mind make a connection with the part that triggers your heartbeat. You are going to begin being more aware of your heartbeat. If you are calm you can feel your heart beating, and you might even be able to hear it in your ears.
Occasionally time your pulse, then slow it down and speed it up. It is more important to have control over making it beat faster and harder than it is to stopping it. Remember, when your mind gives you control over your heart it has to trust you to start your heart again. Or does it?
We know that some people, especially children throwing a tantrum, have been know to hold their breath until they pass out. They automatically start breathing again after becoming unconscious. Wouldn't the same thing happen with the heart? Of course it will. Actually, your mind will "put you to sleep" long before there is any danger. That is one of the concessions that you give it in order to have it give you temporary control.
The mind raises our body temperature to fight germs. Many germs that attack us can only reproduce in the narrow temperature range of our body. By raising our body temperature we are able to slow the rate of reproduction to a level where our immune system can overcome them. At a higher level of development we are able to restrict the blood flow to our head to keep it cooler in order to allow our bodies to be heated to a higher degree to be more effective in its fight against germs that don't reproduce within the brain itself.
Blood pressure is strictly a mental function that adjusts our blood pressure as needed. Imagine that you have a blood analyzer mechanism in your brain that determines if your circulatory system is supplying enough oxygen, materials, etc. to your body and mind. If more is needed the pressure is raised. If the needs are more than adequate the pressure is lowered. If our arteries are restricted, the pressure is raised. If we have more toxins in our blood than is desired the pressure is raised in order to filter out more of these items. Is it any wonder that smokers and drinkers have higher blood pressure?
We can learn to mentally lower our blood pressure a little by "discussing" this situation with our mind and body. Don't laugh. That's actually the best way to approach the problem. Blood pressure rises as the flow and/or quality decreases. If we establish a limit on our blood pressure, then we are establishing a limit on our activity. You can't drive 100 miles on a gallon of gas if your car only gets 30 miles per gallon.
The first thing we need to do is agree to improve our diet and stop poisoning ourselves.
Learning how to relax when we don't need to be keyed up is the second step. Meditation and light self-hypnosis teaches us how to do this.
Turning on tremendous amounts of physical strength at will.
A muscle is made of many strands that work independently. A muscle strand can only contract with its maximum force for a few seconds at a time. The strands operate in a 10% duty cycle, contracting 10% of the time and resting 90%. Even during extreme exertion only about 10% of the strands in a muscle work at the same time, while the others rest. This allows a muscle to exert itself for prolonged periods of time. As we go beyond this duty cycle, our muscles tire and eventually quit working.
During times of crisis or fear, a person can display tremendous amounts of strength by overriding the normal duty cycle which allows a higher percentage of strands to work at once. This is an involuntary action of which people have very little control.
To develop total muscle control is not easy. It is actually harder than stopping the heart. That's because stopping the heart for short periods of time is harmless. Having total muscle control is extremely dangerous to oneself. Over exerting muscles can do a tremendous amount of damage to joints, bones, and tendons. There have been cases where people with an elevated amount of muscle control have broken their own bones doing feats of strength.
Most athletes regularly experience a basic form of this ability.
The main difference in a super athlete and a mediocre one is their ability to raise their normal duty cycle slightly. It is ironic how the uneducated ones that say they give 110% are almost correct.
Understanding why some people are rendered unconscious when traumatized, and how to stay conscious and effective during these times.
Fear is one of the biggest killer of people that find themselves in a catastrophic situation. When a normal, undeveloped mind experiences one of these situations, it turns off our conscious mind so that it can keep us from freezing or panicking, allowing it to take charge and do what it can to save us. In many cases it totally relaxes us if we are about to have a sudden trauma. In other cases it instantly allows our muscles to unleash maximum power and speeds up our reflexes much faster than our conscious mind could accept. This happens well before any adrenaline has a chance to be released into the blood stream. Adrenaline is actually used for occasions when we need a more prolonged period of heightened physical abilities.
What is sleepwalking?
It can be the result of the subconscious and the conscious mind not having sufficient communications. This is prevalent in most children. They can be carried to bed after falling asleep in the car or watching TV and not be aware of it. As they get older they can be told to go to bed and they do it without really waking. The best way to cure someone of sleepwalking is just the opposite of common belief. One really good scare while a person is in this condition will usually help them increase their awareness while sleeping. Remember; heightened awareness works all of the time, especially while sleeping.
Forcing people to do your will without saying anything.
This is actually a telepathic exercise. Instead of trying to read other peoples minds it is better to try to transmit to them. The reason is that since you initiate the transmission, you can easily tell if it worked. If you try to respond to others, how do you know for sure that there really was a transmission? Maybe you simply anticipated a need and responded. The trap here is that your desire to succeed will trick you into believing that you have been much more successful than you actually have. Another reason you want to transmit is to quickly determine if someone shows signs of being telepathically compatible with you.
There is another thing that can fool us. When we spend a lot of time with one person, we sometimes are fooled by what is telepathic and what is anticipated. It can make us think that we are really getting good, but that bubble will burst when we try it on others. If you have a spouse that is working on this with you, practice combining your efforts on others.
Understanding why some people think that communicating with their subconscious mind is talking to God.
It is simply their subconscious mind verbally communicating with their conscious mind for the first time with enough emphasis for it to appear to be another person. It is another person! Treat it that way. Instead of trying to generate fairy tales to explain it, face the fact that our two brains can work separately, together, and at many levels in between. People have used terms like the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; our Higher Power; the child within; High Self and Low self, etc. Some talk about us becoming a whole person, or at peace with ourselves. All of these things are a recognition that we function as more than one person.
If you really want to understand your mind, stick to reality. It is really no different than someone talking to us in our dreams. Our minds generate these characters and creates their dialog as if making a movie. It is not such a big step for our mind to do this while we are awake. Many young children experience this phenomenon with their invisible friends. It usually stops as the child grows older. Occasionally this begins happening again in later years, usually brought on by bouts of intoxication with alcohol or drugs. One of the things these substances do is help us bridge the gap between our conscious minds and our subconscious.
If our subconscious was educated, we could do spectacular things with our minds, but unfortunately, we do nothing to educate it because we are still at the primitive stage of trying to figure out how the mind works. Most people seem to think that the mind practically develops on its own. Left to its own devices, it will, to our peril. Stuffing in the 3 R's and a little religion just isn't enough.
We are still labeling schizophrenics as being mentally ill. We tell them that they are. If they believe us, we actually make them worse; if they don't believe us, they feel like outcasts. Remember, it wasn't long ago that we burned witches at the stake. We haven't evolved much beyond that stage. We have just found other excuses to eliminate people. Instead of burning them or chopping off their heads, we lock them up.
How an undeveloped mind can misconstrue this communication and do something harmful or criminal.
Our mind starts off in this world with no intelligence. It is simply a computer. What is put in is what comes out. This is no mystery. Garbage in — garbage out. Fortunately, our minds do have a proclivity toward becoming peaceful, decent beings. However, it doesn't take much to send it in the other direction. This can affect both our conscious and subconscious or either one. We've seen the combinations. Some bad people have a "good heart," and some good people seem to have an "evil soul." And some are pure evil, while others are like saints.
During our next phase of evolution, we will be able to "cure" all criminals by simply educating their subconscious minds. How many generations of fools have to pass before we get to that stage can be estimated with a fair degree of accuracy. Lets see; we killed witches in America just over 200 years ago; we now pay cops to go out and tempt people into committing crimes so that we can lock them up; we have people that think we can end the drug problem just by saying NO; we have people that pray to a wall and still have a miserable existence (and don't get it); others have gods that say to kill people that have a different god. Four to five generations might do it if the children keep rebelling at the drivel they are being taught.
Why many of our psychopaths have been caught in this web of misunderstanding.
Because they weren't taught the basics at an early age. They were censured and taught fairy tales. They were taught that unimportant things are important. That there is an Easter bunny, a tooth fairy, a paradise for the evil, etc.
Overcoming all fears.
This has sometimes been referred to as The 7 Basic Fears. At this level, this works fairly well. Anyone's seven basic fears are obviously their most important fears. Dealing with them will eliminate most of the others. Three that most people have are the fear of dying, the fear of illness, and the fear of being incapacitated (paralyzed, being in a coma, etc.). To begin overcoming fears one needs to start imagining what it must be like to be without fear. Start paying very close attention to those that don't share one of your particular phobias. Imagine what it must be like not to suffer from that fear. As your awareness increases, your fears will subside. At some point they will seeming disappear without you even being aware of it.
Using your Internal Clock — Never need a watch or clock
This is something that many people use. It’s one of the simplest things to learn to use because it is an ability that we all have. To get it to work well enough to rely on it exclusively requires a commitment to using it no matter what. Even if you miss a court time and have to go to jail. It is the commitment and trust that makes it begin working at a higher level. To help develop the trust it is helpful to understand that if you really need to do something at a specific time your mind will not let you down. Developing this trust will be mentioned in several areas.
One of the things I used to develop mine was to have a chiming clock. Our subconscious mind will automatically begin working in conjunction with the chimes, even when we are asleep.
I also had a digital clock on my night stand so all I had to do is open my eyes, see the time, then instantly go back to sleep. It can happen so quickly that a dream need not be interrupted. It’s also a good way to time a dream and find out that most dreams happen in real time and not in flashes as some people believe. With a little practice you will be able to open your eyes and look at your digital clock on the exact minute you wanted to wake up, even if you are terribly sleep deprived, drunk, etc.
You will be able to use this minor ability as a building block to develop other more complex abilities.
Stopping mosquitoes and ticks before they bite you.
This is actually a result of increasing your awareness. It is a combination of hearing, vision (especially our peripheral vision), our skin and hair sensitivity, and something that will appear to be in the paranormal realm. It is something that you will experience on your own as you develop your awareness.
Using your hair for its actual purpose.
Our body hair has many uses. Heat retention, feelers, and lubrication devices between parts of our body that rub together are the three most important uses. Since man started wearing clothes, heat hasn't been much of an issue. And clothes practically negate a hair's sensitivity by restricting its freedom. All you really need to know is that every hair is an extremely sensitive feeler. A hair can warn us of an intruder much better than our skin. The hairs in our nose not only warn us, but they help restrict something just enough to allow us to blow it back out. Most bugs won't go inside our ears because of the hairs. Those that will venture inside find that with a warning, we squeeze our ear shut with our fingers, either stopping the bugs entrance or killing it. Although the hairs in our ears are secondary to earwax in deterring bugs.
Hairs are a very effective lubricating device in our armpits and between our legs. Women that shave their legs and under their arms miss out on some of the most sensuous feelings our bodies can experience.
Using Video Recordings
Using Audio Recordings
Using Hypnosis
Creating hypnosis tapes by the one person you can trust, YOU.
Developing Mental Skills.
The stages of developing abilities
Twelve stages are used as a general indicator of a person’s development; one (1) being an average child from 5 to 7 years old, 12 being an imaginary level of perfection. Jesus was a 5-8. That's very high.
Why telepathy is "felt" long before visualization and communication is developed.
Telepathy is one of our natural abilities. We are born with it and begin using it in its first stage, which is feelings long before we develop good commutative skills. But without a conscious effort to continue developing this ability, it rarely develops into higher stages which include visions and communication. Most people go through life having an occasional feeling or hunch, but are rarely able to use it for other than hindsight bragging.
Why being "satisfied" with the ability to "feel" things destroys ones ability to develop further.
This is true of any form of learning. There is a saying, "If one thinks they know it all, they know all they will ever know."
Your mind is always awaiting instructions. If you are content with your level of knowledge in any area or on any subject, your mind will not try to prove you wrong.
Realizing from where the phrase, "Father, Son, and Holy Ghost" is derived.
There are many studies to determine how the mind works. It is rather ironic that many minds are trying to understand how one works. That realization is what made it apparent that the human race is still in a very primitive stage of development. Anyone with a working brain would realize that a brain knows how it works, and can explain it to us.
At this stage all you have to know is that you have a left brain and a right brain. To simplify, just imagine that one side takes care of the conscious things and the other takes care of the subconscious. As you develop these into a proficient unit that works together, they form a higher level of intelligence that appears to be an entirely different being, a Higher Power, or a God. Don't be fooled into this trap or you will stop developing and be lulled into a religious stupor where you do nothing for yourself except beg; where you learn nothing more because it will be given to you by this gracious God, etc. Use this saying: God helps those that help themselves. That doesn't mean just wishing and hoping and talking about it. THAT MEANS WORKING AT IT.
Praying vs. Helping Yourself
The benefits of seeking guidance rather than praying for it.
A person has to be developed enough to understanding the concept of, "The Lord helps those that helps themselves." Begging is not helping oneself. That’s why most religious people fall short of their spiritual goals. They don't give as much as they want to receive. They want the answers without having to seek them. They want to be healed without even taking the time to learn how they can help heal themselves.
Improving Voice and Speaking Skills.
Practice
An idiot will tell you not to talk to yourself. How is one to learn how to speak without practice? Do musicians hold concerts while they are learning how to play or sing. Of course not. It takes practice. One of the best ways is to talk to yourself in a large mirror when alone. Speak to yourself as if you were talking to a good friend, then as if you are talking to a stranger, then a group of friends, then a group of strangers. Try talking various ways; friendly, seriously, instructively, jokingly, etc. Imagine being on a stage and try to be professional and influential. As you build your confidence, begin using what you are learning with actual people.
Eliminating stuttering
Anyone that stutters need do nothing to correct this anomaly. Developing Heightened Awareness will automatically eliminate all forms of stuttering.
Learning the importance of using the word "you" correctly
People that say you instead of I when talking about themselves have mental issues that will surface as they become more aware. They will actually learn when to use the "I" word.
In this book I am talking to you, but I catch myself writing we and us instead. I may leave it the way it comes out. When I say we it is because I, or the majority of the people I have worked with, have experienced what I am saying.
32 words to avoid using
…can’t, if, never, impossible, etc. Try to think of 32 negative words that you think will inhibit a person's development. I have my own list, but creating your own list is more important than reading one. The next page has a few words that we should avoid using, but as you will see, that is not the intention of the page.
Stop saying meaningless, drivel words when speaking, such as:
Ahhh...
You know...
And ahhh...
I mean...
you know
you know what I mean...
You know what I'm saying...
And everything...
And everything like that,
and whatever...
what's up...
and like...
(He's, She's, etc.)______ like...
and all of that...
and... and... and...
Makes you stop and think,
blah, blah, blah
As a matter of fact,
Just let me say...
I'd like to say...
can I say…
"you" when referring to yourself.
this, that, and the other thing...
Whatever… (as a response in lieu of something intelligent)
…quote unquote (illiterate, needs no explanation)
A Statement ending with, ...anyway
What liars say:
To tell the truth,
In all honesty,
To be honest with you,
and honestly...
Could of... would of... should of...
if, maybe if,
can't
shouldn't
meant
no, never
impossible
I believe,
my opinion is...
I think...
The answer is...
There are no words to describe...
There are many more. What can you add to this list?
Developing Psychic Abilities
How we know that all fortune tellers are phony
Use your head! It is not a question of believing or not believing. People are predisposed to do certain things, but their actions are not predetermined. If they were, we would truly be mindless robots, which we are not. Besides, if there was even ONE psychic in this world, don't you think they would do something good, at least occasionally. Wouldn't they help save a kidnapped child, or stop someone before they commit a terrorist attack and kill thousands? How stupid can people be? You have to realize that you are on a planet of monkey-people. Actually, a monkey is not stupid enough to believe in psychics.
Why some of them think they aren’t phony
Because they really do receive some telepathic images and feelings, unlike the outright frauds like Cleo. What ruins them is that they get so misdirected and deluded that they start thinking that they are able to talk to the dead (when all they are doing is receiving images from the living person they are talking to). But to make themselves appear better, they use the old Gypsy trick of asking questions of someone that really wants the psychic to be right. Someone that really wants to believe that they are talking to a loved one that has died. All the psychic has to do is make 10 guesses and be close to right on one of them to amaze someone dumb enough to fall for this silliness.
Since several kids disappear every day, even though most are runaways, there ought to be enough work for a legitimate psychic or two, if there was such a thing.
When the phone would ring, my mother would always say who she thought was calling before she answered it. She was wrong more times than she was right, but that didn't keep her from being proud of herself on the few occasions she was right. That's when I began realizing that people can actually fool themselves. That's before I realized that not only can they fool themselves, but they all do it, and in an endless variety of ways. Some psychics are able to fool themselves into believing that they have actual psychic abilities.
Overcoming the desire to know your future
The desire to have a hand in creating your future, rather than having someone else doing it for you, is the first step in rejecting the lazy, irresponsible notion that your future is preordained. If it is, you might as well be a vegetable or a robot. What would really be the point of living?
What are the easily developed "psychic" abilities?
Telepathy
This is an ability that all living things possess. Ironically, it is more pronounced in beings with lesser degrees of mental development. Therein lies the clue to begin developing this ability. With animals and bugs this ability is simply a sixth sense. We regularly see birds, bees, cats and dogs, and herd animals using their telepathic abilities. They take it for granted and develop it naturally by continued use. It has even been discovered in laboratory experiments that plants have this ability.
Humans try to analyze it, and upon coming up with no answers, they turn to a religious explanation. Societies since cave-men have felt that there was a god or gods. It's the only way they could explain anything they couldn't understand.
When I was eight I asked the question, "If there are so many different religions, how could they all be right?" I soon realized the answer. Obviously, only one could be right, and since all of the rest must be wrong, there is a good chance that they are all wrong. That is the answer: They are all wrong. They aren't totally wrong, but they have all been misdirected when it comes to religion. They are actually "dancing to the wrong drummer," and don't know it.
A good god doesn't want worshippers; a good god doesn't want one on their knees giving homage; a good god doesn't want one to hold the cross, a symbol of torture and murder, in high esteem; a good god didn't create humanity with mother/son incest, etc. A good god knows that you can't walk on water, and wouldn't lie to you about it. And a good god wouldn't act as if he made a great sacrifice by bring his son home to Heaven. When you realize how you have been lied to, you will begin awakening to the truth.
We are all a part of cumulative consciousness groups that exist in various sized groups, from two person groups, up to very large groups operating at many different levels. The cumulative mentality of the group is easily seen by observing their actions. Do good people burn witches at the stake? Do good people kill innocent people just because some freak wrote in a book that it is okay? Of course not. Group mentalities can be totally evil while claiming to be for a righteous cause or on the side of some imaginary God if their minds are filled with inaccurate truths.
We have the "Devil" and "God" stories to illustrate the difference in group mentalities.
Thought Control
Our minds are constantly sending and receiving, but we are only aware of what we receive. When you find out what you are sending, you will be totally shocked. It will be like discovering that you are in a mall and realizing that you are naked and don't know how it happened. The first step in developing and controlling your sending ability is simply being aware of the fact that you are always sending. When you are in the presence of others, be aware of your thoughts about them. If you are finding something annoying or distasteful about them, try to look for something good in them that will neutralize your thoughts.
Thought Disruption
Once a person learns how to "feel" others thoughts, a simple, well timed movement or sound can disrupt the other person’s thought chain. At that instant, an interjection can start another thought chain in their mind. Fortunately, this can not be used very effectively for destructive purposes, except on the truly undeveloped. Simply being aware of its existence elevates you to a safer level.
Prediction (this is not fortune telling)
As a mind becomes more developed and it accumulates and assimilates large amounts of information, a clear thinking, pure mind can extrapolate the likelihood of future events with surprising accuracy. Unfortunately, many people let their baser lusts of greed and egotism lead them into religion or fortune telling in an attempt to elevate their own status. Doing so actually decreases their abilities, but because people are following them, and paying them, they become deluded into thinking that they are becoming more insightful, more powerful.
Knowing when someone is lying
This is something that simply happens automatically as you become more aware. Very few people can fool a machine or a voice stress analyzer. Combine body language, their voice, the words they use, and the timing of their words, even fewer can fool a person with heightened awareness. You can become so good at it that liars will seem like five year old kids to you. And even better, they will begin sensing your awareness and find it increasingly difficult to lie to you. One look into their eyes and they will stutter and stall, then usually tell you the truth or a more truthful version than they had originally planned. At this point, don't gloat or show any sign of arrogance; this will only make them try to strengthen their resolve to lie better. Emulate a feeling of understanding and appreciation without saying anything. It will help them feel more comfortable telling you the truth in the future.
Physical Skills
As awareness improves, many physical abilities will become possible. And some will develop automatically. The first thing is that you will start carrying yourself with a renewed dignity and poise. Your movements will be with grace and accuracy. You will find that you no longer stumble, stump your toe, bite your tongue, etc. Your heightened senses will even cause you to blink your eyes before a foreign object can get in them.
Another major thing that athletes immediately notice is that things that used to happen fast, now happen much slower. The commercial about Ken Griffey "thinking" while a fastball is approaching is a humorous exaggeration, but true in essence.
You might discover that juggling becomes easy, or that standing on your head or walking on your hands becomes surprisingly easy.
You will become aware of where everything is at. You could very quickly adapt to being blind or deaf, things that can be very difficult for some.
Your heightened sensitivity of your five basic senses will give you much joy, especially in the areas of physical gratification. Imagine…
Guardian Angels
This is a method to help explain new and developing abilities
As you improve your awareness, you will begin feeling that there is a Higher Power at work beyond your mind. This is simply your mind beginning to work at a higher level than the animal level with which we are born. There is a pitfall here. If you start giving total credit to this Higher Power then you will stop your development in its early stage. Some of the greatest minds in the world are ruined by this simple trap.
"Cleaning House"
This refers to how we begin organizing our mind to allow it to function better. Cleaning and organizing our actual house shows us the condition of our mind at present, and lets us see how it can improve on what it has done in the past. This is not a one day job. It could take months.
First, take actual pictures of every room and closet and cubby-hole where you have stashed your stuff. Don't actually beginning moving any of it, yet. What you are doing is taking a general inventory of your stuff. Your mind will need a few days to digest it all and begin figuring out where it should go. It is important that you resist moving anything until you begin seeing the beginnings of a vision as to how it will look when organized.
While your mind is doing this chore, it and you are beginning to develop a more organized approach to placing things in a location that is more efficient and makes more sense.
The Herd Mentality
Humans are herd animals. As with other herd animals, humans try to make each of us act the same. Herd animals will actually kill another animal if they begin acting differently. Humans also do that. Sometimes we only destroy another by doing things to them, such as putting them in jail for silly reasons (that the simple-minded herd animals justify with their mentally deficient minds). Think about it.
Music
The GOOD and the BAD of it
The Good
There is some, but it isn't for the listener, it's so that the others can immediately see the mental level of the listener. If they only knew.
There are some advantages which will become apparent much later in your development. Until then, begin paying attention to others when they listen to music. Try to feel what is going on in their minds. It's not difficult.
The Bad
Morons need something to amuse themselves with when they get tired of playing with their wee-wee.
Developing people come to recognize the main purpose and function of music. I make light of this because it is something that you will learn for yourself whenever you are able to understand. You will be pleasantly amused, or maybe disgusted, at how you see athletes, actors, musicians, dancers, singers, etc.
Clue: There is a big difference between someone demonstrating a mental function and someone making noises with their mouth and/or a machine. Five year olds of all ages are enthralled by the latter.
PS: I play the keyboard and piano, and enjoy doing so on many levels. There is one type of music I won't play; other people's! Trying to copy someone else is too akin to the monkey level of mimicking. But for those with no significantly developed talent, it is a stepping-stone toward experiencing the beginning of becoming creative enough to make their own music.
