Kings's Guard

Queen's Guard

I don't have Royal Guard pieces made for this game, yet.

To make temporary pieces, use rooks from another set. Cut off the top of a rook and a bishop of each color (preferably from a smaller set) and glue onto the extra rooks.

The rook top indicates a King's Guard, and the bishop top indicates a Queen's Guard. The bishop and rook top also refer to the major strength of the Guard.

It may seem a little bit ridiculous, but it really help to have a piece that is easily recognizable as a Guard.
